Health Innovation Hub

he Health Innovation
Hub is an inspiring
convergence of science,
enterprise, and community.
It is the first purpose-built
flexible lab and office building
in Glasgow and a flagship
investment in the Glasgow
Riverside Innovation District.
The building totals 87,000
sq ft and offers 65,000 sq ft of
dedicated, highly adaptable,
flex office and lab footprints.
An accessible ground floor,
with a café and collaboration
space, has been designed to
create a useable space for the
local community.
Located strategically
adjacent to the Queen
Elizabeth University Hospital,
the building brings together
researchers, healthcare
professionals and innovative
companies in a collaborative
ecosystem designed to
promote and support
innovation and growth.
Developed by Kadans
Science Partner in
collaboration with The Living
Laboratory (University of
Glasgow, Scottish Enterprise
and Glasgow City Council),
this is a building that is
tailored to start-ups moving
away from university facilities
as they drive forward the
next wave of scientific and
technological innovation.
Tenants include Chemify,
Panthera and Genetix.

The judges recognised the
greater role the building is
playing, saying the Health
Innovation Hub “lifts spirits,
fosters innovation, and
strengthens community”.
This is a people-focused
landmark that exemplifies
the transformative power of
innovation, collaboration,
and social impact. The judges
praised it as a true catalyst for
wider regeneration and social
purpose. With communityfacing spaces, local job
creation and inclusive design,
it serves to amplify social
value for Govan, the riverside
district in the southwest of
Glasgow, and the wider city.
The Health Innovation
Hub left the judges deeply
impressed by its integrated
design approach and
investment in flexible and
collaborative space and design.
